Changes at TAFY

Adults over 18 have their own resources and issues. Blending the two is a mistake that hurts the teens.

Don't support Tafy aiding criminals.

Ive been supportive of TAFY up until I found out that their main volunteer is a rapist who met his young victim AT TAFY.

It's a no brainier

This is supposed to be a safe place for teens to come and visit, not for druggies, prostitutes, sex offenders and whatever type of criminals show up there. Make this a place for the teens to feel safe to come to again

Please READ the petition before rushing off to comment how unkind/unfair/unreasonable it is. Change. Accountability. Awareness and adhering to one's on public statements. For that matter, make the same statement to everyone, not a new one for each conversation. TAFY is being over-run by individuals who are parasitic, and the current administration seems disinclined to refuse them access to the services that should be for the needy, not the greedy. As more people are watching and exchanging information, more horrifying stories and examples of intolerable behavior are coming to light. This is not a new issue. Funding has been drying up for the last few years due to these same concerns. It's up to TAFY to make changes within their existing framework. More bodies thrown into the volunteer effort do not change the current problems.

There's a fine line between providing badly needed support and services to those in need and those who choose to lead a self-destructive lifestyle while damaging their surrounding community through their lawless lifestyles. If the charter and mission of TAFY is supposed to be for the needy and deserving YOUTH of Clallam County, and it was to this purpose that the community has given so much support the young people through TAFY, and TAFY is no longer focusing on the kids, then TAFY needs to be held accountable for enabling the criminal population of adults who have had such a detrimental impact not only on TAFY's core clients, the youth, but also on the surrounding community. By supporting criminal adult drug addicts and criminals, they are enabling them to continue their destructive lifestyles. TAFY needs to be held accountable and change the way they operate.

We need so need the changes. These KIDS need to have a safe place.

Please change for the sake of the youth!!

I have witnessed too many drug deals outside this place, criminals in and out constantly, especially sex offenders. Let's get this place to how it should be, and stop being codependent on these constant users. I have a few friends who live in the area and it's a endless nightmare. Needles, bullets, syringes, dirty condoms, this isn't a safe place anymore. Keep this city clean and safe! The neighbors surrounding taffy are scared to leave their houses because who knows when they will be broken into next? Why put people of our town in fear to live their lives if they can't even take a step outside their front door.

Time for a change!

I think one of the biggest issues is that well meaning people are donating to TAFY not realising that the place allows adult drug dealers to frequent the place and use it's location as part of their business. It is very misleading how TAFY represents itself.

I fully support this petition to erase TAFY and its clients! I would love too have a safer neighborhood

Needs to strictly serve our "youth" (18&under)

I am not apposed to helping people in our community, I just want to see some safety measures put in place there.

If it were helping the youth of the community, it would be awesome. But, I have seen too many people who are over 21 going there. The intention of the place was supposed to help teens. Thirty-five is not considered teen!

I thought that was what is happening maybe more community support and less community bashing
