Unhealthy long working days, sometimes more than 16 hours a day are extremely dangerous and irresponsible. The care and quality of working lives on set must be made paramount.

Historically film production companies ignore this sort of thing. Let's hope times have changed.

One can only work a certain amount of hours in a given day. Let’s not revert to Dickensian working conditions in this modern world.

I'm glad others feel the same about this. It appears to be increasingly more common to schedule 2 days into 1 day. Which is detrimental to crew members health and puts those driving at risk.
Productions saving money on equipment and location costs at the expense of crew members health should be disincentivised to prevent this becoming common practice.

That’s a lot to ask for, but it would be good to discourage one day jobs and last days going really late.
It’s safe to assume we’re all at work somewhere else at 8am the next day.

Whilst I’m not arguing for these specific conditions it is clear that in too many cases crew are being asked to work days which are too long. This has implications for health, welfare and safety and is ultimately detrimental to the industry. Individuals are suffering as pressure is put on all levels from client down to create more with less. I wholeheartedly concur with the spirit of this petition.
