I myself nearly fell asleep at the wheel on more than one occassion after long shoots. I was pulled over both times for “drunk driving,” which the cops soon realized was exhaustion. This is a legitimate problem that must be fixed.

The expectation of what we have to do in a single shoot day is untenable - change has to happen right across the whole shoot ecosystem inc client expectations - having a better standard would certainly help in those conversations

After over 30 years in the film industry and working on hundreds of commercials i know all too well about doing ridiculously long hours! It is about time this stops. There is no need to get people to work for 18-20 hours on a commercial.

Overtime should be a back up plan not a large part of the schedule. When people are falling asleep driving home it’s serious.
