Together we the under signed demand immediate changes to the way the traffic is being managed through roadworks currently in place on Lowmoor Road Kirkby in Ashfield

Updates

February 16, 2017

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the momentum behind this because it was just a small idea I had while sitting in the traffic. It is clearly all of you who have pushed this forward and turned a personal frustration into something people are actually listening to.

Now got lowmoor rd and Derby road/Diamond ave (for 13 weeks). Rush hour, Welbeck St to Lowmoor ind estate you are quicker via Kirkby Cross and A38.

These roadworks have been badly managed, traffic lights break down frequently resulting in total chaos for commuters and loss of trade for local business.

As a bus driver this makes us large and therefore our passengers late, this affects all our routes which don't all go along this road too. It makes for unhappy passengers and frustrated drivers.

It's a bloody nightmare, my hubbie works on Kirkby folly Road and we live on Southwell lane, it's grid locked whichever way he decides to come home.

I had to queue 45 mins last Friday night to get into Kirkby. The lights was stuck on red. This resulted in me being late to pick my child up from the childminders.
