Extinction threatens so much wildlife - better means of sharing this planet must be found!

It's an absolute outrage that these beautiful , healthy Cubs and their mother were killed. Much easier to do that than relocate them!!!

The provincial reaction to wildlife in urban areas, is generally to destroy the creatures, rather than focussing on measures to discourage wildlife from coming into contact with humans. Human actions in many cases are to blame, for example, bears.

They could have tryed to relocate them but they waited till they killed Then deemed them dangerous. Something should have been done sooner for them

As a Wildlife Biologist, I am surprised this hasn't already been implemented. We need tools like this to preserve our dwindling wildlife and draw attention to their plight... for our kid's and our grandkid's sake. There needs to be wildlife for them to see.

I agree, all alternatives should be considered before destroying a healthy family of cougars.

We MUST figure out how to share the land with other species before they are gone forever!

Cougars should be moved first, and so should the deer they are following. It's a tremendous loss to just kill them.

Something needs to be done about how this is handled. The animals were here first. We need to stop thinking "KILL THEM ALL. LET GOD SORT IT OUT"

Bears, cougars - all wild animals deserve at least a second chance at life; we have invaded their territory !

And we must get the huge numbers of deer out of the cities and towns.

It breaks my heart to see and hear the continuation of All the animals on earth killed as they cross the path of man.

Land designation in our huge province is sensible. Slaughter of this beautiful and necessary species is paramount

Definitely need to improve wildlife protocols. We need to accept that humans are encroaching more and more on wildlife habitat and animals should not die because we are so greedy

Thank you for starting this... too long in coming.

Protecting top level predators protects biodiversity and entire ecosystems. Human hunting of herbivores is an ineffective replacement, and these destabilized degraded forests and other ecosystems usually don't recover. Predators are an essential part of a livable Earth.

Too many wild animals are being killed. There is not enough wild habitat.
