When my daughter goes in for last lunch there are only dry scraps & she's told to rush which then gives her tummy ache & indigestion.

Parents should have been consulted, some children have to get buses at 8 so possibly had breakfast early it's a long time in-between meals

It's so cruel. If they're having a late dinner, they aren't eating their tea, which is frustrating id imagine. Think of the cafes in wem that college kids go to to have their lunch and they're closed. Bad trade for wem there is already shops closing

Well being honest, I'm in college now and I have a free period before lunch some days so it doesn't really bother me. However I had been here for 5 years beforehand and the system was better before the chance. The parents should have been consulted or at the very least, ask the kids what they think of it?

Absolutely disgraceful! We were starving enough when we had to wait until 12:25 because like others said we either didn't get chance at break time or our parents weren't as well off so didn't have money at break! Thomas Adams sort your pathetic school out! My son will not be attending there when he's of age

It's a crazy time to have lunch, almost home time. Forcing children to eat extra crap just to get them through the day.

My children don't both have time for breakfast so end up grabbing bags and running for the bus. Meaning on some occasions they don't eat since meal previous evening. Either the school should go back to original lunchtimes, or, make sure all the children get to eat something at break-time then, finish school at 2pm. A hungry child lacks concentration as their minds are thinking of food.

Very unfair to make the children wait until at least 135 when most adults wouldn't want to wait until then. Fail to see how concentration can be high when hungry? Also my son tells me constantly that if you're last year in for lunch that day then there is nothing hardly left which is disgusting. There should be same choice and just as much left for every year.

As adults we wouldn't wait til that time to eat lunch so why are our children being forced to wait til as late as 2pm! Twice I have spoken to the head about this to be told it's the Yr7 fault as they are too slow. And when questioned as to why Yr8 appear to be consistently late in for the last three weeks I'm told it's because my daughter doesn't listen to the lunch bell! Children that are late in by the time they get served the lesson bell goes and they are then throwing their lunch straight into the bin. How can the school justify this? Parents are paying for the children to enjoy (a term I use loosely) a school meal but instead our children are miserable and going hungry. If parents were doing this we would have social services etc knocking our doors, yet school are being allowed to do it! What works for other schools doesn't mean it will work for Thomas Adams! This issue needs addressing now!

My spn attended this school and it seems that things have really gone downhill since he left. When he was there they really worked hard on making the pupils feel important but it appears that this is no longer the case.
My son wouldn't have veen able to wait till this time for lunch as he had medical reasons to need to be able to eat and drink regularly. Even in class if needed tgey aldo found that letting the pupils have a bottle of water in class gelp in tgere education as they were able to concentrate better when well hydrated.
Who I there mind thinks it ok to make anuone go 6/7 hours without food or water. This needs sorting out asap.

I left the school in 2014 and I noticed things have changed and got more strict, but this is just ridiculous! Thomas Adams you're going downhill with the welfare of the pupils. Keep it it up and the academic knowledge of the pupils will go down too.

My son often complains about lack of time for food. Teachers are eating and drinking during lessons, however students are told they are not even aloud to drink outside of the canteen! Concentrate on the wellbeing of children rather than banning sausage rolls for litter issues-change the timetable back!

This seems ridiculous. What board or sane person would agree this? Terrible and perhaps it should go above and beyond a petition? The word safeguarding comes to mind as well as other governing bodies. Surely this isn't legal?? Best of luck to all!

My children haven't stopped complaining about how hungry they are. I think I would struggle waiting from 7.30 ( when we have breakfast) till after 1pm for my lunch
