Let them be kids. If its not showing inappropriate body parts, let them wear it! Worry about education not clothes!!

I hear more about the dress code from my daughters then I do about what they learned..

The dress code should be the same throughout the district. If it's okay for high school kids to wear these things, who are more developed & have more to show, then there should be no issue for middle schoolers. Try finding a pair of pants that aren't leggings, jeggings, or with worn spots/holes in them. And try finding shirts that are long enough to go past the behind area. And most definitely, every teacher needs to be on the same page as far as the rules go. Too many inconsistencies on what certain teachers allow & discipline for.

Unless the student is half naked, focus on important things such as the students education, providing necessary supports, etc.

Round Valley School district dress code has always been a joke, it’s about time someone does something about it!

I agree! If they were so worried about this they should’ve sent out papers telling everyone what to buy BEFORE school started. This is all our kids can talk about at home. Not what they learned, did, or anything like that.. EVERYDAY it’s about who got dress coded for what. It’s just a joke.

I believe that if a dress code violation is not noticed before the end of 1st hour the student will not be dress coded for the remainder of the school day.

I feel as long the clothing is not revealing they should be able to wear it , it just the style changing .

The poor kids can't even focus on what's important when they are being dress coded about everything they wear that isnt even inappropriate. It's getting ridiculous!

What the children wear is up to the parents that purchase their clothes, not the schools.

My child has been dress coded. She has NEVER been in trouble before and was very upset to have been in "Trouble" . I feel like as a parent I am very aware of my children and making sure they are in no way inappropriately dressed. My daughter was also "told" she was given a referral, when I inquired, was assured she was not. She was also told that if she got 2 more referrals she would not be allowed to go on the 7th grade trip. She was wearing tights. Tights are "in" right now and most adult women wear them daily. I wish the dress code were the same across the district. Not just the Middle school. My daughter is having very much anxiety about getting dressed every morning. Ridiculous! Dress coding is being done throughout the day and should be done 1 st period or not at all.
