Change the PDGA Policy on Eligibility for Gender-Restricted Divisions

I agree that transgender should not be allowed to compete in the opposite sex from birth

I agree. This needs to be changed or it may greatly impact the women's division in the pdga....and not in a good way

Although physical advantages still exist even when on hormone therapy as has been proven through numerous recent studies, at the very least, PDGA should lower the testosterone requirement from 10 down to at least 5 (preferably 3-4) to be closer to that of the average ciswoman’s T level.

I whole heartedly believe that even if you’re a man making the transition to being a female you should NOT be able to compete in already hard to fill female divisions, I respect the life choice but I recently went to the 35th annual Halloween howler in mobile Alabama and watched a male transitioning to female absolutely destroy a well suited FEMALE division…it’s not fair and their should absolutely be divisions available for folks who are “transitioning”. I’ve been involved with disc golf since 1991 and have personally seen how difficult it is to get actual women to play, so when they do, they shouldn’t be up against biological men who are transitioning, this makes it even harder to get women interested stay apart of the female disc golf scene. Pdga should most definitely open divisions for folks that are “transitioning” from one gender to another. No reason actual women should be getting beat so badly that there’s no point in being involved in disc golf. Change this please!

While I am all for a person transitioning to whatever they want to be, a trans woman has an advantage over a cis woman. The science that says otherwise does not use a correct population, and I cannot agree with it.

As a transgender man, I support this. Even though I take testosterone I think I should be able to play FPO.

Trans people can play in mixed open.

Knowing that men were allowed to compete in the women's field turned my wife away from wanting to try to compete. I imagine this is true for a few ladies out there.

Allowing biological males to compete in female protected disc golf divisions is not fair to biological females. PDGA must take action and stop allowing men to displace women from payout, points etc.

Why not make a division for transgenders? That gives them a chance to compete. And keeps the field fare for all competitors.

Their are 2 genders, male and female. The PDGA should hold those accountable to participate in their respected divisions.

I feel it is not fair to us females to compete against men we are not in anyway built like them nor can we compete like them

The current situation is not fair and equitable. Changes need to be made.

I've been listening to the natural born females voicing their concerns over the transgender male to females taking advantage of their gender protected division. And I agree with them.

Disc Golf should lead the way not follow. Let’s start a third competition category. Thankful my athletic daughter is past all of this.

We need to protect natural born females and the unseen challenges they may be facing on the course that transgender do not. PCOS, menstruation, osteoporosis, pregnancy, menopause, hip problems from relaxin hormone after giving birth, and many others.
