Change the new bathroom rules

I've personally heard from a student that they witnessed the security guard forcefully halt a student by grabbing their backpack, enforcing the unnecessary rule that only one student can use the restroom at a time. Instead of the guard kindly informing students, incidents like this are happening, stripping away the dignity of students.
In our school's bathroom, there are 5 or 6 facilities available to use. Yet, the rule only permits one student at a time. This leads not only to wasted resources but also unreasonable waiting times. Further, it disrupts learning, as students often miss important parts of their lessons to stand in a queue. According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, extended withholding of bathroom needs can potentially lead to health issues among children, including urinary tract infections.
It's clear we need a revision in policies, ensuring facilities' optimal utilization and ensuring students are treated with respect and dignity. Sign this petition to ask our school administration to revisit these bathroom policies, and train our security personnel in more respectful ways of communication with students.
Having a security guard sitting or standing outside the bathroom, doesn’t make me or anyone else feel safe. It’s scary when a security guard comes in and yells at the kids to get out after less than 2 minutes.
