This sight has been empty for as long as I can remember and has got increasingly scruffy. Romsey is in need of housing and this sight is ideal for building house in the style of the town centre and should be utilised as soon as possible.

It's disgusting that while new housing estates are being built on Greenfield sites around Romsey little has been done on this Brownfield site for 20 years!!!!!!

Probably more shameful is being unable to spell 'site' correctly this morning - too much coffee ! Anyway, hope the sentiment was conveyed adequately enough. A sight for sore eyes but a site of even greater potential.

I was one of the first people to have bought a flat in this development in 2006. My parents currently live there now. Ten years on, still nothing has been done. A sight of great potential. Shameful.

Is this about money? Not having enough to develop or wanting a better offer? What happened to 'Compulsory Purchase'?

It's so damaging having town centres with these empty sites and frustrating for local people. Housing helps regenerate local communities & developers have a social responsibility to build once permission has been given!

We have people crying out for homes in Romsey town centre so it is scandalous that this prime site has been allowed to remain derelict for so long. The developer should be given a time limit to complete the development, or be forced to either sell it or have it compulsorily purchased at the market rate. There are any number of developers who would love to take this site off Stanborough's hands.

I totally agree with the petition but I think it needs a specific time period.
I think a forced sale should be at market value less 10%.

Being forced to sell at a peppercorn is not right it should be at market rate. There will be plenty of buyers.
