Let's hope it won't take three decades to get the law changed and get this looking part of Romsey and not The Eyesore of Romsey.

Something needs to be done. We need more housing for families and I agree it looks an eyesore ridiculous sat looking an overgrown mess.

This is a scandalous situation which must be resolved. Stanborough are holding Romsey to ransom. We should be able to requisition the site without compensation

Agree totally. It's a disgrace that he developers have got away with this for so long. I was born and bred in Romsey and it makes me cringe every time I walk past this ugly piece of land.

An absolute disgrace nothing has been done with this land. This site and similar should be used before greenfield sites are developed.

Developers should be forced to build on available brown sites before green fields

The development on greenfield sites such as Whitenap will mean Romsey loses its identity and the beautiful approach to the town will be lost forever, whilst a brownfield site in the heart of town which is ripe for development and can only improve the prospect is left to continue to rot. Utterly senseless and should be addresses as a matter of urgency before the greenfield sites are developed.

I live right next to this site and we get rats (big ones!) coming into our garden from the brewery site. Due to having children, we can't do much about them. I would rather watch the deer in Whitenap than the rats in my garden.

This site is an eyesore and it is disgusting that the landowner can hold the town to ransom like this. He is playing a game and has no respect for the town itself.

Watched the deer today, running across the fields in Whitenap which you hope to soon destroy. Once taken, that land will never be the same. You can never reverse it - it will be gone forever. Take brownfield sites first.

As a resident living in Station Rd Romsey I have to walk pass this eyesore regularly.
Given the need for housing in the area why is this site not developed ?
