This is not just an eyesore - it is a shameful waste of a central site in our market town. And has been for more than 20 years!

Having lived in Romsey 27 years it is a disgrace this eyesore has been allowed to fester in the middle of Romsey, I have often commented as to why, pending development, it could at least be used for parking thereby easing the difficult parking problems in Romsey. The public are crying out for additional housing and affordable housing, why oh why cannot the authorities have the will and power to make a compulsory purchase !

Developers should be given a deadline to complete (not just restart) the development or instead be forced to sell to someone who will complete it within the same timeframe

It is a disgrace when housing is urgently needed. It has been an eyesore in the middle of the town for years and there should be a law that builders have a certain period to build after planning permission has been granted. I am sure other others builders would have welcomed the chance to develop the site.

The position in Romsey is a disgrace. A vital and large wasteful site in the centre laying to waste whilst the surrounding green area is full of development. This has been the situation now for years as the landowner refuses to develop as planning permission was obtained.

Have written to Roy Perry and raised this site at numerous neighbourhood planning meetings. This law is needed.

This brownfield site should have been completed ages ago. The provison of the homes so close to Romsey centre will give a much needed boost to local retailers without putting additional strain on the roads and parking spaces.
