(All of the following is opinion based and only reflects the views of Joshua Carrig alone and no other organization). In my opinion there is a localized belief that the coexistence of a God-fearing core of the Cayman Islands populous and the legal allowance of what is fair and right to those who contribute to our community and live here while choosing not to believe is impossible. I believe this to be false. Though the two lifestyle stand in stark contrast to one another, the free, fair legitimization of one should not undermine that of the other. I am staunchly anti-organized religion, however I have the utmost respect for those who believe and the institutions they uphold, translation: any church has the right to refuse any martial couple they deem unfit under their theocratic rule. However, the Cayman Islands need to create a secular, equal rights environment if it intend to present itself as a world market, basing a large portion of its governmental income on work permits.
