Robert Burns is Scotland's greatest poet and as such we need the Scottsh flag icon to Celebrate his National Day, not the United Kngdom icon.

Burns is a Scot who lived in Britain. The Saltire is the appropriate flag. Recognition where recognition is due.

Hopefully this is ammended...followed by the saltire for St Andrew's Day (he's Scotland's patron saint) and Hogmanay (what Scottish people celebrate on December 31st).

Burns was an outstandingly gifted Scot and his work is celebrated world wide by ex patriot. Fiercely proud of his Scottish identity and as such had tremendous loyalty to his fellow citizens and the Saltire flag.

To use the Union Jack to promote Burns Night is completely insulting to Scots the world over.
