the bodies of women and girls are not "distracting"; they are where we live. stop sexualizing girls like this.

These dress codes primarily penalize girls based on the adults sexualizing them. Boys are not given nearly the same restrictions and are often not reprimanded even when the violate basic dress code. It's unfair, sexist, and unnecessary.

Shame on this teacher for sexualizing a little girl.

I hope SPS addresses this problem sooner rather than later. Let kids be kids for crying out loud.

If a “dress code” is required make it gender neutral and stop targeting/sexualizing young girls by calling them distractions

Stop sexualizing little girls and teaching them their bodies are a distraction or dirty. Talk to the boys.

This is actually BS. So my shoulders are too distracting for boys? Ripped jeans are distracting? I'm a girl and trust me I don't look at guys the way they look at me cuz I couldn't care less. I don't really care if they look at me because at the end of the day they aren't going to do anything about their crazy hormones. Even guys knows that this is actually crazy.

Schools shouldn't describe the way girls dress as a way of distraction.

I really agree with this petition, I think you're really brave to start a petition that a lot of girls agree with, about an issue that they will have trouble with in the future. Ava.
