The immigration procedures and fees should be revised. Over 5 years our small family have spent around 8K on just having a permission to live, work, and re-entry into the state. This in addition to the permanent stress caused by enormous queues, delays and inconsistent policies of DJEI and Immigration. Contrary we spent around 1K for 5-year UK visa under highly skilled program which was issued only once and granted us all the rights without any complications and humiliation. This is total discrimination of none-EU citizens.

It is absolutely waste of time and money and efforts to everyone participating in this stone-age procedure.

Re-entry visa is nonsense - you don't find such a thing in any other European country ( and I have lived in other European countries, so I know what I am speaking about). It restricts the freedom of movement of non European citizens and shows that we are unwelcome in Ireland.

I don't think its fair to pay another €100 for re entry visa when €300 is paid for GNIB. I do not understand why would I have to pay for visa to go to my own country.

Please consider abolish re-entry visa. It is very harsh and complicated for non-EU nationals. I came to Ireland for PhD and it restricts me to travel especially for last-minute business trip and family issue.
