Hello,
I think I am going to be the latest victim of this reentry visa. I am a PhD student from Wageningen University, Netherlands. I am working in Ireland for my PhD project. Applied for the reentry visa on 8 jan. I am travelling to my university on 10 feb to attend a PhD course which is organized only once in 2 years and I already paid a fee for this course. Their visa processing time is so slow, right now they are processing applications from 6th Dec so I am sure im not getting the visa on time. When i told them about i problem, I got a response get emergency appointment pay 100 euros extra and come to Dublin to apply again 2 days before ur travel. These people have no sense and they are just making money and wasting our time.

Please withdraw this requirement. As it is really troublesome. Specially, incase of emergency if you need to visit any other country.

I support the abolishment of the re-entry visa rules. It’s too harsh on non-EU nationals. I came to Ireland considering the fact it’s friendly and open to immigrants but now the scenarios are changing. I am working hard paying my taxes which is used for nation building and in return I am facing harassment by the Irish visa rules. Even the Ireland embassy in india is working very very slow which is keeping us separate from our spouses which is inhuman. There should be more resources deployed in Irish embassy in India considering the fact that more number of Indian students are coming to Ireland every year which ultimately adds up to the economy of this country.

Please consider modifying the visa laws to be more immigrant friendly. We are fine with paying re-entry fees, IRP fees but it would be good if both of them are processed together in a shorter duration.

Kindly abolish the need for re-entry visas; a re-entry visa complicates travel arrangements, specially for business purposes where travel is uncommon to be required on a very short notice. Thanks a million. Yours sincerely.

I have been living in Ireland 10 years. I completed my education from IT Tallaght
I hold stamp 4 now because of working in Analog devices. I humbly request you to remove the need for re entry visa and in fact charge 400 euros for the IRP.

Zain

Yes there is no need to have a separate visa for re-entry. This should be changed to align with other EU country policies.

I totally agree that valid IRP card should be sufficient.
