Only thing i hate in ROI is this Re-Entry Visa, where i have to be frustrated till get my original passports back.

'Re-entry visa' is a ridiculous procedure and systematic issue of Ireland, that causes unnecessary troubles for non-EU nationals. Please sign this petition to abolish this law. Help me & thousands of others!

This is unnessery process..once you got visa whats the reason for reentry...if government only mean for money they must take this money when you extend your vis

I came to Ireland 5 years ago and work as a senior research scientist at a tech company since then. I love every aspect of Ireland except for its re-entry visa policy. The GNIB should be enough to grant re-entries to the country. This is in accordance with other EU states where the residence permit is the only document that is needed to stay or travel. I hope that Ireland changes this policy to eliminate unnecessary time and effort for which expats can spend time working to generate wealth, interlectual properties, jobs, and contribute to the development of Ireland.

I totally support for this petition, bringing Irish law in-line with the lots of other nations in the world, and reducing workload for both Irish officials and visa holders. Thanks.

It’s only in Ireland where you have to pay and seek permission to come back in the country even though if you are a resident some time this cause a huge distress and difficulty there no emergency option other then for the reason of death.
I had my expiring on dec 2018 and I was looking to get the appointment since sept but all in vein I got the appointment on 4th dec my GNIB came on 11th DEC I applied re entry on 13th dec 2018.
It’s already 21st of JAN and it’s not even processed yet!
