Irish government is milking the already poor immigrants who work hard and being already milked by greedy landlords.
Insurance companies rip off the immigrants on the road asking for +€3000 for first time drivers in Ireland because they don't accept no claims bonus from many EU and non EU countries! My 14 years no claims bonus is not accepted here!!
Healthcare system is terrible and hospitals are full of patients who have to wait for 10-20 hours in the emergency room!!!
In many countries it is less than 5 minutes waiting when you have an emergency. And in almost all developed countries except the US AND IRELAND, Healthcare is a right and provided free of charge for residents. Like the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, France, Germany etc...
And health insurance companies are as greedy as the others.
Even if the government asks for the money, I'm fine to pay for the re-entry visa and the GNIB but the waiting and booking and the time waisted in between is killing me.
Stupid rule.

It was a big shock to me and my wife when we found that in order to leave Ireland for a small trip, we need to get re-entry visa first!! However, when we were living and study in Italy, we had the same residency card, with which, we could travel everywhere and come back to Italy.

Dear All,
Getting GNIB appointment is a big hassle and time consuming. So, you may eliminate the re-entry visa process for people who apply for GNIB. If it happens we would be thankful.
Best regards

It would be nice if this gets abolished because it will help people in case of emergency travel when they actually do not have re entry Visa

The system of the “online re-entry visa” is of a major inconvenience to the Non-EU residents who are harmless to the country themselves but rather in fact, helpful in building a better society around. This system brings in a great feeling of injustice to us. A multi-entry stamp at the time of registration/renewal with a collective charge of €400 for the visa should help the state, as we understand the monetary means of the GNIB.
I lived in EU countries for the last 10 years never experienced such a discrimination. If something happens to our family instead of going to the airport we are supposed to go to the visa office to get a visa while being a resident. It is pretty insane
I totally agree with this!
I agree with the petition
