Please scrap this system - Just make GNIB and re-entry into a single thing (You might even charge 400/500 euros for both). If someone applies for visa, they should be give a stamp + reentry visa. Please refer UK, USA and Austraila - They all have a single visa which is a stamp + re entry. Thanks.

Re-entry visa should not be required for Category D residents. Merge IRP and Re-entry into one. Even UK immigration do not ask for re-entry visa, they only check the GNIB card.

Perfect, well if the 100 euro is so important why not charge it at the time of issuing the visa and remove the additional process of applying for a re-entry. Saves time and energy for both both applicants and GNIB

The reentry laws are absolutely unfair. We already pay enough for everything while contributing to the society and this is something that just isn't necessary.

There should be no such thing as Re entry. We have paid enough to be here and we ae not criminals that we need permission to go back to home and be back. Visa should be the only requirement.

First of all no basis for re entry Visa, although if they want to generate revenue from their immigrants, then immigrants should get at least some benefits. since they change the online system for getting the VISA renewals .. it almost impossible to get the appointments and then now we have to wait again for 5-6 week to get the re-entry so in other words we are not allowed to book holidays, as this process will take nearly 3 to 4 months.. This is unacceptable and all the immigrants should raise their concern and bring it back to previous where we go personally to get the re-entry renewed that was the fastest and reliable process.

The re-entry visa scheme is a completely unnecessary and outdated concept. One can not imagine the usefulness of such a scheme other than to make money out of immigrant people.
The whole thing begs a question, why do immigrant people who have already gone through a lengthy process of getting work permit approvals and visas and live in Ireland as long term residents, need to get a re-entry visa everytime they travel outside Ireland. The whole oncept is patently absurd and beggars belief that it has been inflicted on immigrants for a long time. No where in other western countries with similar immigration schemes have such an absurd concept as this Irish re-entry visa system.
Time to end this monstrosity!

Actually, we already pay €300 for GNIB card. Reentry visa doesn’t make any sense. This is the only country I see this.
