The re-entry visa is an unncessary annual process. We already have so many documents and permits and should not need a re-entry visa for the country we are permanent residents in.

They must cancel the re-entry visa. If they want money from nowhere, they still can charge it with the residence permit. But the process is just a nonsense, to apply for it separately by post after renewing a GNIB card. In other EU countries you can travel when you want if you have a residence permit.

We live here, we own house, car here. We work here, we have children studying here so I don't understand why we need a visa to go in an out of the country when we are already a legal resident.

This change will further increase the processing time of re entry visa. With introduction of IRP card, we are getting IRP card after 10 days post registration. The over process of to get re entry will 6 to 8 weeks now, that is rediculous. This should be reverted back for sure.

Overall, the process for Visa applications, decision time and and the long waiting times to get an appointment needs to be improved. Instead, the Government seems to be going in the opposite direction.
GNIB should be considered as the multientry visa
