Visa office should fairly treat the immigrants. Re-entry visa is a business component. It should be reviewed, made friendly to immigrants and if possible, removed.

This law fails to take in to account any emergency situation faced by people who may have to travel urgently. Emergency situations dont come with pre written dates hence it can be tied up situation for people. Please do consider and make arrangements for exceptions like for example emergency situations. Dear minister. The big question !! Is there a need for re-entry visa when residence permit can do the same job? Why to put thousands of immigrants in such an inconvenient state and out of pocket ? Time has come to re-evaluate the laws and Re-entry visa system , which needs to be abolished completely. Immigrants play a big role in the growing economy of this country and looking into this petition at your earliest convenience will be highly appreciable. Thanks & regards. Jeet

Five to six weeks waiting with limited visibility is not acceptable in 2018. Irish passport applicants have options to apply online, using an an post express and they can still do it in the passport office. Also can we please get an expalnation why there is a residency card and re-entry visa... at the moment it seems to be a money-making mechanism rather than a necessety for Irish state. many of the migrant are employed here because of their language skills and ability to help Irish and multinational companies to export. This activity is directly linked to the ability to travel on demand. Hence the new regulation is contradictive to the Irish Growth plans

This is not only for re-entry, goes with all forms of immigration GNIB appointment, Visa processing etc. We pay our tax and we rights to ask. Just hire more staffs it’s that simple.
