Irish Government shouldn't forget their times of migration and they are still fighting for their righg themselves in America. Irish Government knows the feelings to be immigrants because we are on the same boat. Earth is round , what goes around comes around. So, good karma would bring good things for Irish Immigrants as well who are away.

Totally unreasonable law. I guess it stands only to milk more money from the expats.

Visas should be received along with stamps/Residency cards, not sure why it is not done that way.
I pay huge taxes here and still need to go through this bueracratic nightmare that serves no purpose, nor provides any value for people or country

I think there is no need for re entry visa as the person who obtains a visa goes through the whole vetting process why does he or she need to do it again if they are just visiting their family or going holidays.

This charge is unnessary burden on the immigrants in the country who are already paying high tax in addition to high living cost in the country ... unfair

Irish government wants USA government should be sympetheic to unregistered Irish living in USA.
Yet legally living immigrants in Ireland, whose contribution is second to none , should be respected.
They should be allowed free movement in and out of Ireland.
May God help Irish Government to shine with the help of non irish people and their contributions should be recognised gracefully.

Should abolish the whole re- entry visa law. All in one visa should be established: permission to stay, permission to multi entry at will and permission to work according to visa status.

I fully support this petition. These days so many things are done online and increasing all the time. Why are we going backwards ? What sort of progress Ireland is looking for, I wonder.

Please be efficient, I see no reason why they couldn’t do such easy thing in a more efficient and clever way to help immigrants rather than trouble immigrants. Even such an easy thing, they made lots of mistakes, such as lost your passport, wrong issuing date
