I hold a work permit valid for 2years....I fail to understand why then my re-visa has to be renewed yearly and not the 2years..If this isn't about the money why complain that the work load is too much when you can just give GNIB and VISA for the 2years the work permit is valid?????

I do not think this new rules help to students, it seems to be that instead of improve conditions for foreigner students, they want to do harder and more bureaucratic processes.

ya Idk why I cant just pay when I get my IRP card for this. but not I have to wait like 6 weeks + 2 weeks for IRP. Who uses postal applications in 2018

Terrible waiting time, there's no option to plan a getaway on a bank holiday or to attend an emergency abroad without tons of stress, like if we needed more!

Right when the world’s digitalising, Ireland is going back to the 16th century which is costlier for students.

This regulation would make the travelling more difficult, especially if we were to travel back home or to Northern Ireland (without a re-entry visa it is impossible to apply a UK visa or the others).
