Ireland will close the border with UK '' IRELAND ask venezuelan people reentry becouse there were open border. It's won't be anymore. So please there is not reason to ask it any more

This is just an additional hassle. Charge more during the visa but why to restricts the stay in Ireland?

This is disgraceful and unacceptable in such a developed country in 2018. I have never understood the rationale behind this whole re entry visa scheme. Takes no account of an emergency situation. This is pure discrimination against the migrants population. They can't even make a a trip up North. This whole thing needs to be scrapped.

The visa processing itself takes 2 to 6 months to process. Then, appointment for IRC and getting IRC ( an inefficient system where you cant get appointment easily) and then this another step of multi-entry visa, a reduntant step to add problems to non-EU members especially for students who is still trying find its feet in this country.

I think, its better if they do it in a single appointment OR merge everything into one (work permit+ stamp (waste of one page in passport, given they give IRP) + IRP + Re-entry visa). Also ROI is not learning anything from other European countries in terms of visa processing . I also felt with the amount of money we pay for registration and visa they can come with a good on-line system (which is not the case). Thanks for creating this petition.

Totally agree, they can keep te same cost in one single transaction. We go through massive stress when we send our passport by posts hoping nothing happens in the meantime that would force us to travel. Without mentioning the hassle of the GNIB and getting an appointment, and watching appointments on daily frequence for months.

A petition long overdue. It feels like a double punishment. Not only do I need a study visa in Ireland (understandable) but another visa to exit and re-enter each year, which together costs 400 Euro yearly. But why not even get this money in a single transaction? I still don't understand why I have to establish pretty much two visas in two separate processes that should have been one. This is simply disgraceful. Don't get me wrong, Ireland is a great country and we love living here but this double visa process is shameful. It doesn't happen anywhere - just here. Either abolish the re-entry visa or increase visa fees for GNIB and make it function as a re-entry. It seems the law here does not care too much about the sufferings its visa policies bring on Non-EEA residents like me who have come here to study. I still remember being shocked at having to line up in the winter cold at 3 a.m. back in 2014, waiting for the GNIB office to open at 7 a.m. so I can get a visa number. Any later I would have missed it only to cue up again. While the situation has improved after a public outcry, why we need a separate re-entry visa still remains a puzzle. Indeed, I left the country once because I could not get a re-entry visa before my flight date and had to apply at the Irish embassy abroad just to get back into Ireland – freaking nightmare!!!

Please remove the re-entry visa law. Immigrants already pay 300 euros per year for GNIB, why burden them more financially and mentally with re-entry procedure. In case of emergency where a person is grieving over a loss INIS ask them to pay more. Such a shame.
