Why do we need re-entry visas if we have Residence permit - such a bad system? It's just collection of money from visas...

This is so unfair. The re entry visa should be granted with the gnib itsrlf which can save a lot of hssel.

I think re-entry visa should be given right at the time of GNIB appointment. It is already an enormous hassle to book the GNIB appointment, and even after that we need to wait ~5 weeks to get re-entry visa done by posting our passport to re-entry visa office etc.
This is extremely lengthy process and it should be optimised. Please build a system to combine immigration stamp + re entry visa in one day (in one visit to the GNIB office).

Ministers for justice will abolish the re entry visa. We pay GNB card also when we will go out side the country also we will pay. We can’t afford twice. Hope department will consider our extra pay and give it to us permission for with out re-entry visa go for out out the country. Thanks

I couldn't go home for Christmas :(
Please merge the IRP & Re-entry, I don't mind paying both the price at once. But this delay is causing me problems both personally and professionally.

Can someone complain this to the human rights commission for extortion of the immigrants. Months to get an online appointment, 300 euros Garda ID for a piece of plastic ID card, 2 weeks for it to arrive. Then re entry visa (which should have been automatically included with GNIB card application/renewal..duhhh!! common sense INIS) 5 weeks to arrive by post and costs 100 euros.. then stamp 4 support letter takes 3 months now! Are we living in the renaissance?

They should give us the IRP Card and the re entry visa on the same day (common sense is not so common in ROI) or just abolish the re entry visa. The IRP Card, should not cost 300 euros.. 300 euros for a small piece of plastic card..crap!

100 euros for a small piece of re entry visa sticker that takes 5-6 weeks to arrive! So costly and you don't have enough people to hasten the processing! .
