This visa doesn’t make any issue it’s a waste of money and time

The visa system in Ireland is really pathetic and on top of that the process keeps getting inconvinient each year. Not only the posting of re-entry visa is a drawback but also there have been many cases where the visa printed is wrong and invalid because of silly spelling mistakes made by the officials further causing delay,inconvience and huge monetary losses for people who are not able to plan and book tickets as they have to check if the visa granted to them is correct.

I really do not understand why there is a need to apply for a separate permit to get in and out of Ireland when we already have permit to stay in Ireland in the first place.
If its about money then take 400 during GNIB registration itself and consider the GNIB card as absolute or facilitate an E-Visa for re-entry where the Re-entry visa can be obtained instantly. As you would already have our passport details and mapped to the GNIB number, I do not see why this cannot be done.
It really do not make sense to wait for 5 weeks for such a small thing which shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Please Abolish re-entry Visa, This process takes time if I get any emergency I get stuck bcoz this system.

I am a PhD student from India studying in Ireland. I find this visa system and application procedure extremely inconvenient and unfair. I could not travel home this Christmas due to this re-entry visa on top of GNIB renewal rule. No other country in the world does this to immigrants. This needs redressal badly. Also my friend applied for re-entry visa this year and had to travel miles to get the visa from a post office where it was to be collected from. It's highly inconvenient.
