In most other countries, a resident permit card acts as a visa simultaneously. For example, in Japan, a resident card of up to 5 years can be issued for ~50 Euros, which works as a multiple entry visa as well. This 300 Euros of GNIB/IRP plus an additional 100 Euros of re-entry Visa is archaic, unreasonably expensive, and time consuming.

Re-entry Visa is a completely redundant step and needs to be scrapped or at least merged with the IRP process itself...

After get GNIB stamp everyone needs to wait to get IRP card. why not also make option to get re-entry visa also at same time or with same appointment. I believe it is only money making policy if need urgent visa or plan to trave immediately need to pay €100 extra.
