I completely agree with this and Ireland Govt should look to remove re-entry visa law.

When already pay 300 for GNIB card on top paying 100 for multi entry looks really completely redundant. This not only about money its more hassle the families need to face here

I strongly second that I am so worried that if my passport goes for 6 weeks and if anything urgent calls my attention I would be helpless. Furthermore. Being a Dr my Job requirements are of frequent travelling for exams and courses. My Passport has to Go for Visa in Feb and I cannot sit Or apply for March exam as I have no surety of my Passport being back in time.

300€ for GNIB should suffice. Another 100€ for re-entry visa is too much.

When the thought should have been in finding ways to align the International Immigrants VISA process with that of the EU, this move sends a regressive message to the world!

there shouldn’t be a re entry visa for any foreign nationals in ireland if they are holding a valid visa to stay in Ireland. It has no real value except money for gov.

Many of the people effected by this are my highly educated, hard working individuals whom we should be honoured to call residents of Ireland.

This will create problem in different scenarios. Specifically as an student. I am planning for Master in Ireland and I have an offer from top3 university. Because of this decision I might look into other options.
