100% agree, re-entry visa has been hurdles for me over the years, causing me issues at personal level but moreover at professional level with very vital business trips that had to be cancelled and thus impacting on my personnel career as well my employers.

Yes, 100 % in favour of this petition. It takes more than a month to receive your passport sent over for visa re-entry and it is extremely inconvenient. I have had to cancel my travel plans due to this, was not able to attend an exam because I could not produce my passport and had to pay another 200 bucks to apply for the test again, overall it is becoming very difficult to brush off the troubles being caused. Laws in a country are meant to make lives easier not more difficult. If the Government needs money then charge higher when you are getting the gnib cards done but why make people go through this .

Families are important to non EU as well, Mr Minister I urge you to take action for this matter, as we been put to severe stress and agony when our loved ones passes away, it a constant pain in our heart as a human being to be there for our family on time .please not that GNIB card is given after Visa to Ireland by careful consideration, also they check our passport and qualifications, not only they grant the same only for one year but also it takes almost 2 to 3 weeks ,on top of that we have to pay and wait 3 to 6 week to get re entry. In between if something happen in our family on the other part of the world, imagine if you are living in Kerry or cork, we have to travel to Dublin and 1 to two days on flights and delays, the frightful experience and the panic doesn't worth living , when you say there is an emergency service , its only in Dublin and very hard to access. Imagine you being asked to do all this when a family member passes away. Its cruel and in human, please try to understand our feelings ,please take away the odd rules and make it convenient for us . Thanking you...

I think a valid GNIB card is enough, I can not understand why we need Re-entry VISA? For what? Why do UK and other EU contries does not do like that? If Ireland want to attract more people to contribute to the economy, please abolition Re-entry VISA.

I am a %100 in favour of abolishing this visa law. It is a waste of time. It only puts on added pressure on the applicant themselves. Application must be made weeks in advance and if an emergency as they say were to occur, well then what!??? once you register the satmp, that should be it, you should be able to travel whenever and wherever you so wish without any issues, the state are still receiving their money for it.
