Change Texas Cleft Law

2 of my triplets have cleft lip n palate and we live in Texas.

I believe it should be included! No child should be turned away for anything.

They should change the law these kids need are medications need help and we should do so as parents

Would be wonderful if insurance covered orthodontics for cleft children. My daughter, 6, bilateral cleft lip/gumline, will being her orthodontic journey soon. I dread the bill's to come!

My son was born with a cleft lip and gum notch he will need braces as well I pray you get this matter approved so your baby girl gets the medical care she needs and deserves

If it is medically necessary it should be covered by law!

I also am cleft and my parents went through hell to get me what I needed. It should not be this hard! It is not cosmetic!

We have had to fight in Illinois for our son to have things covered and he had a cleft palate. It is the right thing to do for these children.

Children with cleft are often born with teeth defects as well, such as missing teeth and jaw misalignment requiring surgery. Dental work is crucial for cleft children to be able to eat and speak properly.

I was born with a cleft lip and palate too. I know how hard it was for my parents. I think anyone born with this should get full insurance coverage for everything they need.

My grandson will need many surgeries, please change the Texas Law regarding medical and dental coverage to include all cost. These children need this law in their favor.
