My son was born with a unilateral cleft lip & complete cleft palate. I am not positive if LA law requires insurance to cover these expenses but thanks to this petition, I now know what to do my extra research on! I gladly signed this petition! I believe EVERY cleft affected or ANY CHILD with ANY disability should have insurance to FULLY cover their MEDICALLY NECESSARY costs!

My daughter was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate. Fortunately our insurance covered her 18 surgeries. Parents are going through unimaginable pain watching their children go through these surgeries and medically necessary dental procedures. Please give them peace of mind and have these necessary dental procedures covered under their medical insurance.

My son & daughter were both born with clefts and needed braces..my son will need them multiple time as he has a bilateral cleft lip and palate, my daughter just had cleft palate. I hope I dont have to fight for this in Illinois like Texas, we shall see...Good Luck beautiful

This must be changed! My son is also cleft affected and I feel strongly about associated medical care and all that it entails.
