Change Tardy Policy- No Small Child Deserves Humiliation or Unjustifiable Punishment Because of Their Parents

I am a retired CCSD teacher and we had to watch videos at the beginning of the year on what we can and cannot do to discipline a child. Separating them to where they are 'pointed out' is clearly a big NO NO. I guess Gehring thinks that these children must be driving themselves to school every morning and therefore it is their fault. I could go on and on about the abuse we are currently facing at Gehring. We have gone up the chain of commands are are now at the Trustee Level, and have been assigned a 'case number' which is great! If you are interested, reply to this. They have gone as far as to 'impede the education of a homeless child with eye muscle control problems'. She is being evaluated for possible surgery but the counselor stated she is fine and needs nothing! We have asked for her medical credentials but there hasn't been a reply! ALWAYS insist on an email when dealing with tyrannical Administrators! Gehring's policy is phone conference or face to face conference. They DON'T WANT A PAPER TRAIL! We insisted on emails and so we have it in writing!

This is happening to my daughter at her new school where she already feels scared overwhelmed lost and unhappy.

We do not support Communistic behavior in any form from leadership in the USA. Tramatizing children is unexceptable behavior in any form. Go work in a Prison facility instead.

I don't think it's fair to punish little kids because their parents dropped them off late! Most elementary schools don't even start until 9:00 am, Gehring starts at 8:15!

Must be changed! This is horrible and does not set a good example at all. Since when is it okay for teachers to bully children?!

I kids have enough trouble with their self-esteem. No need til give them a reason to feel awkward. Clearly, this principal does not belong near young children.

I'm a teacher in the district and unfortunately I see this daily. It doesn't just go towards the children either, the teachers get the shaming as well.

They are children. Do they not think of the damage this can cause to such a young mind? Last time I checked "hazing" was illegal/banned.
