Corporations should not be allowed to take over public fields either through the Dept of Parks and Recreation or the Board of Education. Priority should always go to RESIDENTS over corporations. Representing myself personally. And as a near founding member of the CT Men's Senior Baseball League. Manager of Stamford Mets. And long time resident since 1985.

We need to keep it affordable for everyone and not so competitive. Let the kids have fun with their sports too and just be kids.

I support keeping Stamford school properties' exclusive access for non-profit youth organizations and not share them with for-profit organizations. Kids need to have exclusive access to those facilities, or they will soon be unable to train in those facilities while paying kids are using them, for the profit of a few, and no the taxpayers.

The various public fields should remain public so that everyone in the community can have reasonable access to them whenever they need them.

You can't take these fields from the tax payers to give to a business to sell to the privileged at the expense of the all those who cannot afford any better than the house league. I know kids who can't even afford the house league! Those fields were installed for the people not for businesses!

As taxpayers, we have a reasonable expectation of having access to and use of certain services and facilities. City fields are taxpayer and property and fall within the scope of those taxpayer benefits. The city has no right to allow a private for-profit organization to have priority over non-profit organizations that offer all citizens an equal opportunity to participate in activities. By nature, for-profit organizations are exclusionary and affording them the luxury of priority to City resources, the result would effectively mean many Stamford children would be unable to participate.

We need to keep the fields reserved for non-profit org who have been serving the needs of the kids for so many years, many of these Kids cannot afford thousands of dollars yearly to train with the for-profit org.

Chelsea piers should have dibs on the city fields. These fields should continue to be for city programs. These rec programs are one of the services that Stamford does well. Please do not ruin this!
