There has been a total of 3 death's on this road since 2009, ages 13, 15 and 19 years old.
I would like to put in my thoughts to show Road's and Maritime Service's that there needs to be more than the thought of a round about at the end of the road and to action this immediately.
The bend at the end of Duffie Drive is too fast to do 100km. Also after the bend 20m before you come onto the main road at the give way sign it then goes from 100km to 60km. This speed limit needs to change before the bend happens so people are aware to slow down and that they are about to enter traffic.
There would be more of a chance for us to get a speed camera along this road instead of the speed changing, but acting is better then sitting back and do nothing.
Please comment below any suggestions in improving this road.
Please help me to make a difference to this road by signing this petition and sharing it before we lose another life. Thank you!

The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and the Roads and Maritime Services can no longer pretend this dangerous bend is safe. We have reached a point where the bureaucrats have to acknowledge our demands because we refuse to let another life be stolen on this road.

Thank you for signing this petition. As of today 27/5/2015 Duffie Drive speed limit has been reduced to 80kms. More Improvements to the safety of that long stretch will hopefully also be actioned soon :)
something needs to be done to improve this road & save lives i beleive another problem is that cars turning righ from duffy drive cant see oncoming cars if there are cars turning left into duffy they block vision of cars going straight through recipe for disaster fix duffy drive
I strongly believe that this is a very good idea , To help save many lives , It makes me feel sick how many people have been killed on this road, Its unfair and I beleive we should all stand together and take action on this so no more lives will be lost :)
This is a must. The cousin of the young man who is the most recent victim is distraught and as is the rest of the family. I knew the niece of another victim as well and she still cannot cope properly. It's not just the victims affected.
Unfortunately, it isn't just the road that is at fault here… Sadly, it's the way the drivers (esp. the young) the way they drive… They need to learn to drive to the conditions, like any other road and SLOW DOWN!!!!! such a sad tragedy
