Show concern for these families!! If it were your family I'm sure you would feel different. I am getting older and it would kill me not to see my family. Please listen!!

It is cruel to keep nursing home residents isolated and unseen by their families. Many of them are not able to advocate for themselves. We don't know when this will be over so the elderly deserve the choice of how to spend their days.

28 days is too long and more than CDC recommends in phase 4, which includes all of NYS today. Our loved ones are dying from isolation and loneliness!

Please consider the emotional toll that the separation from family members is taking on our older folks in nursing facilities. We need to consider metal health as much as physical health. Our parents and grandparents in facilities are declining at a rapid pace because they are separated from their loved ones. For some their family visiting is all they have left to look forward to. Our elderly deserve better, they deserve to see their family members and to know we still Iove and cherish them and that we haven’t deserted them at the time in their lives that they need us most.

Our loved ones needed to see us! They feel like they have been abandoned. They have rights also, I believe there is a way to visit them with proper protocol and safety guidelines!

I agree, this needs to change. I have two parents in asst living facilities that I have not been able to see in 5 months! This isolation has caused significant cognitive decline. I understand the need to be cautious but my father has been isolated in his room for months now. All meals are served there. Activities have been stopped. He need a face to face visit and soon! He is 90, does not have many years left and wants to see all his kids and grandchildren.

Loneliness is causing unnecessary irreversible Damage to residents in nursing homes. I should be able to visit my grandma. It’s a hard enough transition accepting a nursing home for the rest of your life. Not allowing family visits is in humane.
