It that sentence a joke? They murdered someone.. he was clinically dead for seven minutes so it is technically murder. That's not even the point, this should be a life sentence. They have taken this man's quality of life, so the court should take theirs and give them life in a prison with a basic lifestyle. Imagine if this was your husband, brother, dad, son or nephew. 5 years!!? Disgusting

When such violent acts are committed the punishment needs to be equivalent to the impact on the victim. 10 years should be the very minimum. How long will Simon and his family be affected with the impact of this violent act. This is this case not only for Simon but for all victims of violent crimes. Give the judges the authority to sentence accordingly.
