Change in the sentence for a violent public disorder

Apart from increasing the maximum, the CPS should leave a court and jury to decide whether there is enough proof; the CPS is often the reason that dangerous criminals are on our streets, they are too soft.

Simon Dobin and his wife have got a lifetime sentence and the guilty will get a maximum of five years and serve two and a half years for good behaviour. What is fair about this !!!!!!

and should be higher than 10 years particularly where death or serious brain injury occurs.

5 years, really, for this level of attack and consequences I would suggest 20 yrs. minimum without parole.

The fact is that the law will not help you. You want to see these criminals pay? Take the matter into your own hands. Burn their property, hurt their families, enact your revenge independent of the law. Find them. Hide them. Torture them. Dispose of them.

These cowardly thugs deserved nothing less than public birching (sadly banned) followed by a 10 year custodial sentence. This would ensure that they would spend at least 5 years in custody.

Get this passed through because this outcome and tragidy is disgusting.

Both myself and my husband have been victims of crime.mine has not been found yet and my husbands attacker got just 18 months.he suffers from pain everyday. .......sentences should be increased.

Why are the victims serving life sentences with disabilities while these mindless thugs walk free in a few years or get menial sentences......its appalling!

Justice should be just that; fair punishment for the crime committed. This man and his family have received "life sentences" yet most of those involved in the attack show no remorse for the devastation they have caused to the lives of these innocent people. It could be argued that this was not an incidence of public disorder but a callous act of greivious bodily harm.

Much too lenient, lock them up and throw away the key. They must have had the sense to know what they were doing and the consequences of their actions to their victim and yet they carried on like a pack of animals. Disgusted!!

CPS should be ashamed of these lenient sentences. These convicted men need to be made to care of Mr. Dobbin and the victims of other such mindless, violent and cowardly attacks.

MINDLESS THUGS THEY NEED EXECUTING

I think it is a disgrace that a bunch of hooligans should get such a light sentence.

Justice has not been served in this case. Due to the premeditated actions of a group of hooligans a family is left in tatters with a life of work ahead of them to care for an innocent victim. A mandatory sentence of life should be available to the courts for cases where premeditation is proven.

Not only should the maximum sentence be raised but after they have served the sentence the perpetrators should have their earnings docked to help pay for the care of the victim and their families for life!

Not only should the perpertrators all face prison their income afterwards should be used to support their victims in perpetuity. They need to have the same life sentences that their victims - which includes family - suffer.

Yes sentences have been too low, they only become lengthy if money is involved a 10 year minimum sentence sounds just.
