This kind of crime should be treated the same as murder, and they should both carry a life sentence - and 'LIFE' should mean 'LIFE'.

I have seen Simon Donbins on TV and think his attackers should receive life sentences for what they have done to him.

5 yrs max is insulting to any notion of justice for this poor family. Any monies subsequently earned by these thugs should be taken to help the family.

For this type of violence a minimum of 10 year should be the case. What sort of life has Simon got now - his normal life has been taken away by these thugs

The law must be changed this was deliberate and Simon and his family have a life sentence, the perpetrators should be punished severely.

This is disgusting! If you are in a group and someone has a gun with the intent to use it and you are all aware of it then you should all receive a prison sentence. The same for a knife and using your feet to stamp on someones head!
