My school doesn't allow facial piercings either and I have my nose pierced. At least you can do a petition and get this taken care of.

Worry about your athletic apes that get free rides through their classes while the rest of your students struggle with actual work. Worry about the kids that don't eat lunch because they can't afford it. Worry about the student who gets picked on everyday through the hallways and goes home to an abusive family. Stop putting energy and time into kids with tattoos, piercings, bra straps, shorts. It shows where your administrations priorities really are

I think it to be ridicules that students have to worry so intensively about what they're wearing that it can effect their education.
