Most colleges do not have housing for upperclassman (usually only freshman are guaranteed). Albright did not prep these students but Albright is just trying to transition to becoming a bigger school.

I live off campus, because the dorms at Albright were expensive yet did not meet expected standards compared to other colleges in general. This semester, the college is putting current students in difficult situations by not giving them housing. Please upgrade the housing and help these upperclassmen get their places. I don't live on campus but I am deeply concerned about my fellow Albrightians.

Have some consideration to those students that have paid their tuition for tha last few years. I know you need to take in new students to make your quota but lets not lose the students that want to stay. If you force them out they can always transfer to another campus. You lose either way!

As an alum that depended upon on campus housing, I would have been devastated if I was forced off campus because I was an upperclassmen.

As parents of an outstate student this lack of housing for juniors and Senior is unacceptable and places yet another worry and burden on students and their families. We are wealthy and are struggling to give our daughter this top education that Albright provides but adding the additional worry of finding off campus housing and possibly adding the additional expense of a car and living in a place where there is not security makes it hard for all involved. Stop recruiting so many freshman and remember to take care of your upper class men as well.

As a parent of a rising junior, I was appalled to hear of the messed up housing situation this year. My daughter was one of a few who was fortunate enough to get one of the remaining rooms, and I feel for those who were left roomless. I agree with previous comments---stop admitting so many people if you don't have the room for them in the future (wouldn't hurt you to become more selective!) and build more residence halls...NOW! You will undoubtedly lose future, and present, students if something does not change.

Reading through these comments made me glad I'm a commuter student to begin with and did not have to deal with housing. This is just another example of how little the college actually cares about its students and is just looking to bring in more money from the incoming freshmen class rather than retaining its juniors and seniors. Good luck to all of you, hopefully you can figure out a housing situation or find a good school to transfer to before the beginning of next semester.
