My car and house I lived in off campus both got robbed. Public safety has no jurisdiction off campus... If they are forcing you to live off campus like you all say they are do yourself a favor and transfer to a school that cares.. Also word of advice don't move to anything below 11th st. or anything past perry..

It's ridiculous that at a school where almost all of the students receive scholarships based on living on-campus and all of the graduating students have disgusting amounts of loans that housing isn't even guaranteed.

This new housing system screwed many people out of housing and left them pretty much homeless. I really hope this petition can knock some sense into Albright Housing

They were very rude when I contacted them about housing when my off campus housing plans fell through and I don't even know if I'll have somewhere to stay now.

It's entirely unfair that students like
Myself and my roommates were basically forced to live off campus due to lack of housing. It's a college, it's supposed to be a selective process- stop accepting so many people, or build a new residence hall. We were guaranteed housing for all 4 years when we signed the Contract admitting us to this college- I guess they can just breech a contract with no legal repercussions? We were reassured by housing that we would have housing, and now women aren't even eligible to participate in housing anymore because there aren't enough rooms.

Albright stop accepting so many students, and give everyone the ability to get housing.

I think it's completely unfair that Albright isn't guaranteeing housing to Juniors or Seniors, because some of us (like myself) can't afford to live elsewhere without the aid Albright offers for dorm living. And some of us (like myself) can't afford to be commuting 6 hours for school in the odd scenario that he/she does not have a room available to live in. If there are too many students, we need to either invest in a new res hall or stop admitting so many new freshmen so that the college does not have to resort to this.
Luckily, I got a room, but I'm still not happy about the situation. It is ridiculous that I along with the class of 2017 had only a handful of rooms left to select from. It's also ridiculous that an upperclassmen dorm like North was completely full before any of us of 2017 even had a chance to consider living there. To me, this is saying that if you're a junior or senior you either have to be wealthy enough to live off campus or in woods, or you have to be stuck with top floor rooms you don't want. Why does it seem like I'm being punished simply for being an upperclassman?
Even as number 8 for the lottery today, my roommate and I still were stuck with a room I'm not happy with. I'm grateful I managed to get a room to stay in, of course, but who knows what will happen next year? That's why this needs to change.
I understand the college needs to try new things because of the two enormous classes they admitted for 2017 and 2018, but this is definitely not a good approach to take and the college needs to try something new. I love this school and I definitely do not want to have to leave my senior year just because I don't have a place to stay.

It is completely unacceptable for housing to no longer allow women to sign up for housing. There is a greater number of women at this school and it is not okay to deny a sex of campus housing.

This policy needs to change. At least guarantee rooms for students who are required to live on campus by their scholarship or financial issues! I'll be a senior next semester, and I'm just glad I won't be here for much longer.
