Yoga is teaching people how to connect & to look after our bodies, ACC should be paying us to help them keep people strong, flexible & healthy!!

Yoga should be compulsory sport - everyone should be doing and this world would so be a better place

Yoga needs its own dedicated BIC code, because it is a unique practice and definitely not as risky as it has been classified.

yoga has been scientifically proven to improve heath and well being, so it would be intelligent to realize the people need the teachers and the teachers should not be financially punished for the great work they do

Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga and Yin Yoga are Sports? Faszinating. ;-) There are studies out in other countries, like the US with probably the largest yoga community in the world that ACC could use as an estimate for the rate of injuries! In 2009 the INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF YOGA THERAPY published a study by Physicians and Surgeons about "Yoga Therapy in Practice- Understanding and Preventing Yoga Injuries“. One of their quotes was: The Time article cites 13,000 documented Yoga injuries over a three-year period. With an estimated 14,000,000 people practicing Yoga, that is only one injury in a thousand. If this statistic is accurate, that makes Yoga safer than many other types of exercise. To read the complete study go to: http://www.sciatica.org/downloads/fishmanarticle_analysis.pdf

It is very hard to understand why ACC would class yoga teachers along with high impact and injury sports instructors. Maybe those making the decisions need to attend some yoga classes for several months to gain some understanding..
