Thurrock Council has officially reversed the decision to close the Chafford Hundred Library. I am grateful to each person who lent their name to this campaign to preserve our local resource. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure this facility remains open for our students and neighbors.

The library is vital for the kids at the campus. Walking there after school is part of our routine. Bad idea to close it.
My kids use this library all the time for homework. Its the only quiet place they have to study after school. Dont shut it down!
Libraries are for people not just profit margins. Its right next to the school for a reason. Keep it open.
KEEP IT OPEN. We need this for our community.
Total disgrace. My daughter loves going there to pick out new books every week. Please reconsider.

Ridiculous decision. Where do they expect everyone to go now? Thurrock council needs to stop cutting the important stuff.
