Beginning next year, the Province of British Columbia will begin an effort to replace the George Massey Tunnel linking the southern shore of the Fraser River to Vancouver with a new bridge. The crossing is the main north-south approach to and from Vancouver and Washington State. The new Bridge should be named to honour Canadian Forces veterans, especially those lost since WW2, for whom British Columbia has not yet dedicated a public monument.
