Develop a program to certify residents to be able to safely and properly have fires in their yards
This petition for the City of West Des Moines to develop a program to train home owners to safely and properly burn in firepits etc. in their yards. Home owners would pay to attend the program so they can get certified to be able to have fires in their yards. Develope guidelines , rules, etc, to be followed. If any certified home owner is in violation of said guidelines and the fire gets out of hand, then the home owner will face fines determined by WDM.

I think it is ridiculous we can't burn in our firepits in our own yards. Let's give WDM a tool to allow us to do this!
