Hi my name is Ilyzée and I am starting a petition to bring back, my favourite activity at the Ceroc Southport weekenders, Silent Disco.
My dad, Rob Cox, has been dancing at Ceroc weekenders for 9 years and 4 years ago he invited me and my sister, Iminee, to Southport. My immediate interest was the Silent Disco so we went later that night. Ever since then it has been the highlight of every weekender I have attended. Through the Silent Disco I have made friends and it has helped my confidence grow.
The Silent Disco allows me to have fun in a party atmosphere and brings groups of people together to embrace their inner child. This makes me feel comfortable because as a young person l feel more secure with these people around me.

I have requested a formal meeting with the management team at Ceroc Southport to review their current scheduling decisions. My current focus is drafting a summary of these testimonials to present as evidence that the Silent Disco is a necessary component of the event experience.

Gutted to hear it's not on...one of my favourite aspects of Southport!!..Why?.. Surely theres enough ceroc, silc and blues to go around all weekend..this is the one place to be authentic!!..and most fun!!
I fully agree, it is a modern jive Weekender, so why should blues have more priority than modern jive variations. Now there is silc, which is related to Ceroc, we should keep those activities (like the silent disco) that jivers can have fun with :-)
Oh please, please, please bring it back!

I've never participated in a silent disco but when I was told about it I thought that it was such a cool Idea and I would like to try it
