Please listen to the people -- the people of Alexandria -- not outside groups the city staff seems to defer to. As someone who travels multiple times a day on Seminary and NEVER sees a bike, do NOT take away lanes or reduce their width. The Fire Department doesn't want it and we don't want it.

As numerous residents, the local newspaper, and city data have made clear, the asserted safety concerns are minor compared to other parts of Seminary Road not proposed for changes. The City's alternatives seem to be solutions in search of a problem. Maintain all four lanes and install two new crosswalks.

Seminary Road is a disaster and will assuredly get worse with reduced lanes! It is the alternative route to Route 7 leading to and from Fairfax County, It is heavily used and a critical thoroughfare.

When the 395 HOV lanes become pay lanes 24/7, the open 395 lanes will become even more congested. Please fo not take away from present road structure.

There is has been a major uptick in traffic on Crestwood and any side street branching off of Quaker Lane leading to Braddock- does the City not have any concerns for the neighborhood? This is what happens when an individual with no background in leadership or any actual hands on work experience is elected as Mayor...

With a hospital and emergency vehicle traffic, reducing the number of lanes on Seminary road would be hazardous. Additionally impeding the flow of traffic on that artery would increase congestion and lead to other issues.

For commuters like me, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Alexandria has plenty of bike trails that aren’t used. Most importantly for people’s safety.

It is necessary to keep the 4 lanes so Alexandrian's can get around town. Going down to 2 lanes will only slow traffic and send drivers into our neighborhoods. We need to take a look at how Arlington streamlines traffic and feeds drivers to the main roads to keep the neighborhoods safe.

Maintain all 4 lanes. This area needs as many lanes as possible, so listen to voters for once.

Keep at 4 lanes, raise the speed limit back to 35 mph.
Listen to the community for once! We’ll be watching this vote for the coming election.

Please reject the reduction of lanes. The reduction in King St lanes has signficantly increased traffic in front of my home on Braddock Rd. I've lived there for 14 years and now it's impossible to get out of our street during rush hour because more ppl are cutting over to Braddock. It's not just about Seminary -- it's what will happen to the ancillary roads. The City Council is making decisions in a vacuum. The traffic has to go somewhere and now the neighbors will be less safe like they are off of Braddock.

Resident of Beverley Hills neighborhood since 1968. I hate what has been done to King Street and to Russell Road. "Complete Streets" is making traffic worse, not better.
Don't ruin a perfectly good road.
