Please DO NOT limit the number of vehicle lanes. It is already bad; limiting the number of lanes would only make it worse.

I think the “road diet” idea came from a plan that was aptly named: Zero Vision or Vision? Zero. F there has to be a designated bicycle path, make one sidewalk for bikes and the other for pedestrians, but keep the current two lanes going in each direction.

With the traffic here in the city of Alexandria, we need our roads & lanes. The city council has gone rogue with all these bike lanes! Enough already!!

Reducing Seminary Road to two travel lanes is an awful idea, given the NEED for vehicular traffic. Bicyclists are welcome to, under Virginia law, to occupy streets so long as they obey all traffic laws. Motorists are compelled to treat bicyclists the same as any other motor vehicle. Such is the law. Spending vast sums of money to accommodate a small number of bicyclists while ignoring the needs of the many seems a bit like pandering.

I strongly oppose the elimination of any vehicular lanes on Seminary Road and on any of our other roads. The City needs to stop making it so miserable for its own residents to drive here. Many things cannot be done on foot or bike or public transportation.

This is already a terrible road with the entrants from 395 trying to get over to turn down Beauregard. An actual trained traffic person needs to address the many issues already existing (and not add to more issues)

Do NOT reduce the number of lanes anywhere in the City. Our population has been growing and traffic has been increasing. LT we might need MORE lanes!

Leave Seminary Road alone!

This issue is too important to be left to T&ES, and no studies and policies enacted by the City 10 years ago. Things have changed dramatically and so must Council and its thinking.

Reducing lanes would be a travesty and a severe hardship for the majority of taxpaying citizens that live here. The folks implementing this live elsewhere in Alexandria and would not have to deal with the added hardship. If anything we need turn lanes added in addition to the two lanes each way. Don't forget the city is also doing a 'swing space' (nifty term) that will only add to the traffic issues here for no less than two years.

This is ridiculous! I don’t see bikes in the bike designated for them now! Alexandria stop the madness!

Seminary Road has become a major East-West artery following the BRAC decision to relocate a major DOD organization off Seminary, and will only continue to get worse as the area grows, i.e. Amazon, etc. Exiting from I-395 to seminary has become a nightmare starting around 3PM. We need four lanes!

Please retain the current lane configuration on Seminary Road. Increase in traffic congestion leads to increased pollution, decreased fuel efficiency, and poor quality of life. the plan to reduce lanes is short cited and does not serve our community. I would like to see this administration actually listen to the citizens,

The city's own data shows that Seminary Road is safe. There is absolutely no need to reduce lanes on Seminary - to do so would worsen the congestion that already exists.

We need the 4 lanes! Reducing to 2 lanes is a solution in search of a problem. Don’t do it.

Alexandria resident for fifty-three years. We do not need to reduce an already crowded Seminary Road to two lanes. Please reconsider.

Traffic for local residents is already a nightmare during rush hour but reducing lanes on Seminary Road will only add to it. Please put the interests of nearby residents over cyclists never seen on that stretch of Seminary Road.

Further, small changes like No Turn on Red at the Right Turn Lane of the Corner of N Quaker and Fern St where there is a bike rack in front of a bike store throws traffic on other streets, and adds to the congestion and delay at this intersection, which has been unrestricted for since at least 1983.
