I am strongly opposed to this proposal. Eliminating car lanes from our roads will make gridlock even worse.

Stop INCREASING congestion by reducing traffic flow, reducing lanes, reducing speed limits, eliminating parking, and otherwise making Alexandria unlivable!

Keep Seminary Road four lanes. Repave now and spend the next 5 years developing plans that will maintain four lanes of traffic while allowing for better conditions for pedestrians and bicker.

This is an ill-informed, poorly informed idea. It is not supported by analysis or facts, but rather by a fringe group with a selfish agenda.

Please stop making it harder for residents to get around the city. We are not going to bike no matter how many bike lanes you implement. Also, with all the cut throughs and non residents using our roads, narrowing Seminary Lane is not going to eliminate the congestion that we have been experiencing.

I am against reducing vehicle lanes to make bicycle lanes. We already know how congested it is here and this would make it more so.

Alexandria is a commuter city. Please stop trying to enforce traffic regulations that should only be used in a small town of 1,000 people.

Repave our streets and enforce the traffic laws. Commuters do not respect the law or fear enforcement by ACPD. Bicyclists don't need a designated lane. The road is already multi-use; if they truly want to ride get out there and ride.

I am STRONGLY OPPOSED to any lane reduction on Seminary Road! Those lanes are necessary for emergency vehicles such as fire trucks and ambulances, and should be unimpeded. The residents who live in the adjacent neighborhoods would be miserable if you try to put a choke hold on traffic! Please listen to the residents and not the very small minority of bicyclists! I am a handicapped senior citizen who lives in Seminary Ridge. I use Seminary Road to drive to my many oncology appointments. I cannot walk to these appointments; I cannot take mass transit; I cannot ride a bike. Please do NOT take away my ability to get around my neighborhood.

Narrowing Seminary will cause horrible gridlock...Not reduce gridlock. Think about it. Please.

As a triathlete who does a lot of running and biking, I find "road diet" proposals to be generally unhelpful and often counterproductive. The current proposal for Seminary Road fits that description.

I am a 20 plus year resident of Alexandria and a registered voter. I am horrified at the bicycle Nazis plan for our city.
